Alumni gives back to Alma Mater


Ground-breaking for the Alumni Hall
The Zamora Memorial College General Alumni Association, Inc. (ZMC GAAI) through the leadership of Bacacay mayor Hon. Tobias Betito, endowed a new building which will rise inside the ZMC campus. The building will be known as "Alumni Hall."

The groundbreaking ceremony took place last October 24, 2013 with attendance of the Mayor himself, officers of ZMC GAAI and ZMC officials. 

According to Engr. Rosario Romano-Bombales of ZMI Batch 1982, the building will take at least three months to construct. The proposed building is to be located behind the current Biological Garden, in front of the Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) Room for Boys.

"This alumni building will reckon the mandrel of knowledge and will be the start of a better Zamora Memorial College," said Mrs. Venice M. Bellen, ZMC principal.

After the ground breaking, the ceremony was ended by a closing remarks uttered by Dr. Hazel Vergara, member of the ZMC Board of Trustees.
